New Frontiers Fund of Five $500,000 Challenge Met!
Ocean Discovery Institute would like to thank San Diego’s visionary leaders in philanthropy for meeting the Fund of Five challenge, raising $500,000! To celebrate Ocean Discovery Institute’s 10th year, the New Frontiers Fund of Five was started by a philanthropic leader, who committed to contribute $100,000 if and only if an additional four supporters met the challenge at the same $100,000 visionary level by the end of 2009 and the challenge was met. These funds will empower urban and diverse youth to transform their lives and make a difference in the world as scientific and environmental leaders.
