Ocean Discovery Institute is supporting researchers from
Scripps Institution of Oceanography as they study ways to improve the recovery of coastal ecosystems after the removal of non-native plants. The study is conducted at the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve, which is located in south San Diego County and has been designated as a globally significant wetland. These studies are uncovering important ecological information to be used by managers and environmental groups as they design and facilitate restoration activities.
